Maouane Fellaini out of United?

The Telegraph report that Marouane Fellaini is one of the Manchester United players whose future at Old Trafford is at risk, despite just one season at the club. The Belgian signed last summer for £27 million but has disappointed, and was not even included in the squad for Ryan Giggs' first game in temporary charge.

There is no present interest in the midfielder, but the paper describe Fellaini's 'disastrous' season as placing him on the possible exit list with the likes of Patrice Evra, Ashley Young, Nani, Tom Cleverley and even Shinji Kagawa. United would however have to take a big loss on Fellaini, and the decision will rest on the preferences of their next permanent manager.

David Luiz will be a Barcelona player next season

David Luiz will be a Barcelona player come the start of next season, if Brazilian outlet Lance! are to be believed.
The media outlet have announced that a deal has been agreed between Chelsea and Barcelona for the Brazilian defender to move from Stamford Bridge to the Camp Nou for €40 million after the World Cup.
Lance! detail that Jose Mourinho firmly believes that he central defensive partnership next season should be anchored by John Terry and Gary Cahill, while Barcelona are in need of new defenders with Carles Puyol retiring.
Unfortunately Lance! are unable to say what contract length Luiz will receive at Barcelona, nor can they reveal any of the financial terms of the Brazilian’s new contract in Spain.

Sagna: I don’t think I will stay at Arsenal

Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has finally broken his silence regarding his future by admitting that he may leave the North London club at the end of the season.
The Frenchman is out of contract in the summer and is yet to sign a new deal, despite being in talks for most of the season. The two parties have still not reached an agreement and it looks as if his stay with the Gunners is coming to an end.
Earlier on Saturday a few reports claimed that the defender would not make a decision until after the World Cup but it seems that he has already decided on his future.
However the 31 year old has now confirmed contract talks have hit a snag and that he was likely to leave the Emirates this summer. He said:
"I am out of contract, as everyone knows. I still consider myself as an Arsenal player at present.
But actually we had a small problem to agree and I do not think[I will]  stay at Arsenal at the end of the season.
It is mixed, we started the season very well, but we could have done better. Injuries have hurt us, especially those of Ramsey, Walcott, and physically at a time, was released. At this level, it does not forgive."
Sagna, who joined Arsenal from Auxerre in July 2007, has reportedly attracted interest from the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea, with the French international thought to be keen to stay in the Premier League.
The Gunners have offered him an improved deal with an increased salary and a signing on fee, but he has chosen otherwise. He has been a loyal servant and we would definitely miss his energetic runs down the lines in the coming seasons.
It seems the match against Norwich will be his last in the Premiership with the Gunners, and all we can do is hope that he heads overseas rather than joining compatriots Gael Clichy and Samir Na$ri at Citeh. Let’s end the season lifting the FA Cup with the Frenchman!
Serge Aurier is considered one of the favourites to replace Sagna. He is regarded as one of the most promising players in France and is renowned for his athletic attacking style. Although he is still only 21, he is a full international and a regular for his club side. He might not offer the same level of defensive consistency as Sagna, but he would add an improved threat in the final third.

Laurent Koscielny has signed a new contract with Arsenal

Laurent Koscielny has signed a new, long-term contract at Arsenal to end speculation that the defender was considering a summer transfer out of the club.
The Frenchman has spent the last four years in London and this season developed a strong partnership with Per Mertesacker at the heart of Arsenal's defence.
The 28-year-old, who was signed from Ligue 1 side Lorient, has contributed to 15 clean sheets in his 31 Barclays Premier League appearances this season as Arsenal secured fourth place and reached the FA Cup final. "I have enjoyed four great years already and I look forward to continuing to help the team," said Koscielny.
The news was welcomed by manager Arsene Wenger too. "Laurent has proven himself to be an outstanding player since joining us in 2010," he said.

Alan Shearer: Wayne Rooney needs successful World Cup

Former England captain Alan Shearer has said that Wayne Rooney is crucial to his nation's hopes of winning the World Cup this summer.
The Manchester United forward has struggled for form and fitness in England's last two major tournaments, but will go to Brazil full of confidence after scoring 17 goals in the Premier League this season.
"Rooney has scored 38 goals for England. He's only 11 short of Bobby Charlton's record and I think he will go on to break it," Shearer is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.
"But he needs to go out and have a big tournament. If he does that, he will be the key to us having a successful World Cup. When Rooney plays well, England play well.
"I'm a Rooney fan. He ticks all the boxes as a player, but for him to be put in the same bracket as Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, he needs to have a great tournament in Brazil – although, having said that, Messi has yet to set the place on fire at a World Cup as well."
Rooney has won 89 caps for England since making his debut in 2003.

Rooney and Phil Jones will 'be fine for the World Cup', - Giggs

England were given a boost yesterday when it was confirmed that Phil Jones should be fit to play in the World Cup and that his Manchester United team-mate Wayne Rooney will be in peak condition for Brazil.
Manager Roy Hodgson names his squad on Monday and it was feared Jones would be unavailable after injuring his left shoulder in United’s win over Hull on Tuesday.
However, the defender has suffered only bruising and minor ligament damage, and United’s interim boss Ryan Giggs expects him to be fit in time, even though he will miss the club’s final game of the season at Southampton.

‘Phil’s injury isn’t as bad as I thought on the night,’ said Giggs. ‘He’s obviously out for Southampton but should be OK for the World Cup. We are still monitoring it but it doesn’t look too bad.’
Rooney will also miss the trip to St Mary’s, meaning he will have failed to play in United’s last three games of the season after aggravating a groin injury in training last week.
It has inevitably raised concerns over the fitness of England’s talisman, but Giggs believes Rooney will benefit from the break after going into the last two World Cups struggling with injury.
‘Sunday probably will be a bit too soon for Wayne but he’ll train and be fine for the World Cup,’ said Giggs. ‘He has had a fantastic season and I think he is ready to make an impact. The injury was just a little groin strain but he’s fine.

The Dutchman says he will soon begin talks over a contract extension and is confident that he still has three years of football left in him
Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben has voiced his confidence that he will sign a new contract at the club in the near future.

The Dutchman has been at the Allianz Arena since 2009, but his current deal expires in just 18 months' time.

However, the former Real Madrid and Chelsea man says he is enjoying life in Bavaria and believes he still has something to offer the team.
